INSTRUCTIONAL T-BALL LEAGUE
LEAGUE RULES

Here is a quick recap of the basic rules:
1. 3 outs or 5 runs constitute one half of any inning.
2. If you choose to pitch to your batter, the batter shall receive no more than 5 pitches in
order to hit the ball. After the 5th pitch, the batter must use the Tee.
3. The kids are not allowed to pitch or catch.
4. Kindergarten goes base to base. 1st grade can advance 2 bases. 2nd grade can advance
until an outfielder "THROWS" the ball in.
5. The Kindergarten and First Grade Teams are to use a spongy T-Ball. These are approximately
5oz. (Spalding makes an "Official T-Ball at this weight.)
The Second Grade Teams are to use a ball often called a "soft baseball." These are approximately
3oz. (Markwort makes an M-Ball/Soft Baseball at this weight.
6. Games last 1-hour. The horn will be blown at 55minutes. The current batter will be the last
batter and the game will end when that batter is finished.
7. Only 12 players K&1st and 10 players in 2nd grade in the field with a 15 player max batting
If you have more than 15 players, we ask that you split the players into more than one team.
8. All Tee-Ball players must be 5 years old by the open of the season.
